| The Organisation |
| Located in the heart of the city of Kolkata, HPC came into being as far back as in 1922 when the printing industry in the Eastern States of India was not as developed as it is today. The organization is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Andrew Yule & Co. Ltd. (A Govt. of India Enterprise) under the administrative control of the Central Ministry of Heavy Industries. |

| HPC is fully equipped to handle all kinds of printing assignments – from production of Multi-coloured Brochures, Folders and Product Catalogues, Calendars and Books & Periodicals to bulk printing of colourfully designed Labels and Cartoons for consumer products, Posters and other PoP materials as well as Forms of different sizes and specifications in large quantities. Newsletters and other informative Booklets brought out by different government departments, PSUs and organizations in the private sector are also produced by us at HPC. |
| The Facilities |
In the earlier years our excellent Mono-composing units used to contribute largely to our quality printing. With passage of time and our gradual switchover to the photo-offset method of printing HPC introduces efficient DTP systems capable of handling increasing workload to ensure timely delivery of materials to our esteemed clients. Languages in which our DTP systems can work are English, Hindi, Bengali, Nepali, Oriya, Assamese & Urdu.
In our Pre-Press Section we have all necessary equipment to provide scanning, planning, imposition, and other related facilities.
We have a number of 4-colours and bi-colour machines equipped with latest accessories in our Printshop to take care of all kinds of printing requirements of the reputed organizations who have reposed their faith and confidence in HPC for years.
Our Post-Press Section is equipped with imported power-driven cutting machines as well as wire-stitching, punching and perforating machines.
Facilities for Silkscreen Printing are also available at HPC. |
| The Latest Acquisition |
| The latest acquisition in our Printship os a Heidelberg ® Printmaster PM – 74 with a state-of-the-art technology has been recently commissioned. Its versatility art-technology will increase productivity, improve the quality of printing, expand the range of services and meet a much larger variety of customer needs. With special accessories this landmark machine will perform additional functions like numbering, perforating etc. |

An efficient team of Printing Technologists in our Pre-Press Section and Printshop works tirelessly to maintain the excellent quality of our printing. The machine operators in HPC are among the best in the business.
The Sales/Marketing Force of HPC consists of technically qualified representatives who are there not only to collect orders and ensure their execution, but also to advise customers as to how their requirements in the most economic and efficacious manner. |

Balmer Lawrie & IBP group of Companies, Bharat ;Bhari Udyog Nigam Ltd., different General Insurance Companies Life Insurance Corporation of India, Allahabad Bank, Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority and National Library with Tata Construction & Projects Ltd., Jute Manufactures Development Council and other organizations connected with promotion of and research on Jute form part of our imposing list of clients. |
| Future Outlook |
| The acquisition of the Heidelberg ® Printmaster PM – 74 Machine is a step towards further modernization of our production facilities. Keeping in view our clients’ requirements related to designing, HPC is now working on a plan to develop a dull-fledged Designing Studio, fully computerized and operated by efficient computer designing artists. This is likely to add a new dimension to our efforts ensuring client satisfaction which is of utmost importance to us. |
